Beta
EA has confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will have an open beta, which allows players to try out a new game before release.
It was expected to happen in September, but a military lecturer Tom Henderson suggests it will now happen in October following the launch of the game.
In addition, Tom Henderson says Early Access (for those who pre-order) can start playing from October 6, while everyone can join on October 8th. EA is expected to officially announce new Beta dates soon, so we will find out how accurate this leak is soon.
A game to play
Battlefield 2042 is totally focused on multiplayer. You can play alone if you like, but this just takes colleagues and online opposition to AI robots, as there is no campaign-focused campaign.
Most players are divided into three modes: Battlefield, Portal and Danger Zone. Hazard Zone is a "squad-based game" apparently a modern multiplayer game, but DICE is determined to prove that it is not a Battle Royale mode.

Portal mode, on the other hand, will allow players to play classic maps from previous Battlefield games such as Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1942. These maps will be enhanced with 4K views of next generation consoles, and a wreckage added there not previously. .
In addition, EA will allow players more freedom to make their own game, whether that is to set game rules, what weapons / cars / gadgets are available and open a friendly fire. Think of it as a Battlefield-equivalent Super Mario Maker, as you can share your personal similarities online for others to enjoy.
Battlefield 2042's impressive scene, apparently, will be the All-Out Warfare mode, which sees up to 128 players fighting for goals on a multiplayer multiplayer map. Players will be divided into two groups - attackers and defenders - so this is not the story of the 'last man standing' like Fortnite or Call of Duty Warzone.

One of the maps takes place in the city, where you can zip from the roof of the house to the roof
All-Out Warfare maps will also feature climate change and natural hazards, hurricane-force hurricanes that can crush you like ants, and sandstorms that cover the battlefield to limit visibility. There will also be ‘amazing world events’ on selected maps, DICE has provided an example of rocket launch on the Orbital map, which could go awry if certain conditions are met.
Seven maps to be launched via Battlefield 2042 include:
Kaleidoscope (Sogdo, South Korea)
Manifest (Brain Island, Singapore)
Orbital (Kourou, French Guiana)
Discarded (Alang, India)
Revitalization (Eastern Desert, Egypt)
Hourglass (Doha, Qatar)
Breakaway (Queen Maud Land, Antarctica)
There will also be a variety of vehicles, ground and air, which allow you to navigate the map at high speeds. You will be able to use the in-game tablet to request the car to be transported anywhere on the map, so you will not need to search the map for discarded tank. EA also mocked the wingsuit in its trailer, but explained that it would only be available with certain characters.
Yes, there will be a large number of weapons available as well. The new 'Plus System' will allow players to change scoops, barrels and even ammo type in real time, so you do not need to stop the game and jump to settings.

Lots of content will come with the post-launch world war. You will not have to pay even a penny for any in-game content that may affect the gameplay, but premium programs will be offered to those looking for the luxury of cosmetics.

Trusted Take
I have to admit, I have lost interest in the Battlefield series in recent years, as it seems to be chasing the Call of Duty crowd rather than going its own way. But from the first glance of Battlefield 2042, it would be a return to the form of a first-person shooter series.
Incorporating characters with unique features and a season-long battle with free post-launch content, it looks like Battlefield could use the same live service model as Apex Legends likes. But with the sheer number of 128 players per game, and the natural hazards that add chaos to the organization, this looks like a unique multi-player business at an unprecedented rate.
Admittedly it is a shame that there is no one-player campaign, especially for an exciting venue, but I am pleased to accept that if it means DICE can focus on making this one of the best multiplayer experiences around.
